Combine a scenic, expertly narrated tour to the summit of the spectacular 10,023-foot high Haleakala with a visit to the unique Iao Needle – located in lush Iao Valley State Park. A combination of our West Maui and Hana/Haleakala Tours with an exciting extra bonus! The tour begins with a flight exploration of the most magnificent West Maui Valleys. Then we land at our scenic and exclusive remote landing site at Ulupalakua Ranch, on the slopes of Haleakala.

Refreshments are served while you enjoy the breathtaking scenery and pastoral setting. The flight continues with an exploration of East Maui, including Hana and Haleakala. (1-1/2 hours)

Flight routes may vary due to weather. Additional helicopter trips are available. If you are interested in additional information, please let us know. A-Star & ECO-Star helicopters capacity is 6 people. In the interest of comfort and safety, clients exceeding 250 lbs will need to purchase an additional seat at 50% of the applicable rate, an adjacent empty seat is required to safely balance the aircraft. Any child under 24 months of age is welcome as a lap child at no charge. Children 24 months and over require an individual full-fare seat.

A spectacular downhill ride from 10,000 foot elevation of Mt. Haleakala, through switchback turns and countless visual wonders. There are stops along the way to view and photograph the incredible scenery, learn about Haleakala's history and lore. Transportation, mountain guides, Park admission fee, bike and gear included. Hot and cold beverages and muffins at "base camp" included.

Dress warm for the first part of the ride, it can get cold on the mountain. Closed toed shoes, protective eyewear, sunscreen and camera. Riders must be a minimum height of 4'10" and a minimum age of 12-years (reasonable condition). No beginners. No expectant mothers. All riders must sign an acknowledgement of risk and safety form.

ATLANTIS SUBMARINE

The 65-foot, 80-ton submarine will host 46-passengers per trip and will take its guests to depths of up to 150 feet.

Inside the vessel, visitors can look out of huge view-ports and see a tropical, aquatic paradise full of black coral and schools of colorful, exotic fish. The entire excursion lasts approximately 2-hours. Check-in at the Atlantis Ticket Office at Lahaina Harbor slip #18 30-minutes prior to dive time. Seats are released to stand-by passengers at ten to the hour. Round trip transportation not included but may be purchased at an additional cost.

PAYMENT, CANCELLATION: All 2010 rates are subject to change without notice. Payment for confirmed reservations may be made via credit card (Visa, MasterCard only), check or cash. When payment is via credit card, Destination Discovery Travel will also need the mailing address used when applying for the credit card.
